摘要: It has been shown that during the luteal phase of menstrual cycle women excrete hard stools and have delayed transit, while at time menses, are looser more frequent. The relationship between anorectal physiology, whether timing manometry testing should be standardized within not previously investigated. In this study, responses to balloon distension days 1-4 (menses), 8-10 (follicular phase), 18-20 (luteal phase) 24-28 (premenstrual) in 20 healthy female volunteers (ages 18-39 years) was measured. Stools were significantly menses [2.32 (2.1-2.5); mean (95% CI)] compared with [1.98 (1.8-2.2): F(3,30) = 3.1; P < 0.04). However, there no changes rectal sensitivity, distension-induced motility, compliance, or volumes required induce initial sustained internal aral sphincter relaxations. conclusion, although become unaltered. This suggests bowel habit associated unrelated physiology. Furthermore, routine manometric can performed any without fear conflicting results.
