摘要: Although extensive studies on copolymers have been carried out with a view to exploiting thecombined homopolymer properties, physical blends of polymers warranted less attention. But as resultof increased scientific and economic interest research in this challenging field has grown over the lasttwo decades. The unique properties silicone polymers, due their Si–O–Si backbone, includingtheir low Tg's, gives rise some specific applications. However, it is singular structure whichalso makes incompatible most other macromolecules limits incorporationto amounts. Bleeding mechanical loss are observed at higher percentages. This overview dividedinto three parts: first covers silicone/polymer bicomponent being either functionalizedor not. second part describes different ways compatibilize two phases silicon/polymerblend using which can be added preformed or synthesized in-situ. efficiencyof involved varies depending chemical architecture. final sectionis dedicated methods preparation Interpenetrating Polymer Networks (IPNs) arecommercially industrially by far interesting. relevant processes (extrusion, batch, casting, etc.) well various resulting materials also reviewed throughout paper.
