摘要: Hepatic metastases were induced in nude rats by intraportal injection of 2.5-5.0 x 10(6) cells from the human colonic cancer cell line LS 174 T. Quantification tumour burden, expressed as relative metastatic area, was performed contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT) scanning vivo (n = 14), contrast enhanced CT post mortem 21) and computer-based area calculation (CBAC) 21). To determine false-positive contribution to estimated burden evaluation procedures themselves, six without assessed. The quantification three different assessment groups close accordance animals with an intermediate or extensive but not a minor (< 4%) burden. results indicate that can be used this model quantify hepatic metastases, except few small lesions. Furthermore, suggest potential for therapeutic response repeated vivo, well prospects corresponding man.
