摘要: Mitogen-activated/extracellular response kinase (MEK) (MEKK) is a serine-threonine that regulates sequential protein phosphorylation pathways, leading to the activation of mitogen-activated kinases (MAPK), including members Jun (JNK)/stress-activated (SAPK) family. In Swiss 3T3 and REF52 fibroblasts, activated MEKK induces cell death involving cytoplasmic shrinkage, nuclear condensation, DNA fragmentation characteristic apoptosis. Expression enhanced apoptotic ultraviolet irradiation, indicating MEKK-regulated pathways sensitize cells stimuli. Inducible expression stimulated transactivation c-Myc Elk-1. Activated Raf, activates ERK MAPK family, Elk-1 but not c-Myc; Raf does induce any cellular changes associated with MEKK-mediated death. Thus, selectively signal transduction contribute response.
