摘要: Purpose: E-cadherin, a calcium-dependent cell to adhesion molecule, plays key role in the maintenance of tissue integrity. Reduction or loss E-cadherin has been reported have development human malignancies. The expression was analyzed non-small lung carcinoma (NSCLC) elucidate pulmonary carcinogenesis and determine relationship with several clinicopathological factors prognosis. Materials Methids: Sixty five cases NSCLC were evaluated by immunohistochemical analysis for E-cadherin. immunostaining results semiquantitatively interpreted, as preserved reduced, tumor tissues. relation data survival. proliferation index tumors Ki-67 antigen. Results: Reduced found 51 tissues (78.4%) compared that normal controls. significantly correlated male smokers squamous type cancer, but not histological grade, TNM stage showed weak inverse proliferative activity cells, which measured using Conclusion: Our support hypothesis reduced may play pathogenesis NSCLC, might be associated control proliferation.
