摘要: Cytokeratin 7 (CK 7) and cytokeratin 20 20) are low molecular weight cytokeratins. Their anatomic distribution is generally restricted to epithelia their neoplasms. We surveyed 435 epithelial neoplasms from various organ systems by immunohistochemistry using CK monoclonal antibodies. Expression of was seen in the majority cases carcinoma, with exception those carcinomas arising colon, prostate, kidney, thymus; carcinoid tumors lung gastrointestinal tract origin; Merkel cell tumor skin. The squamous carcinoma origins were negative for 7, except cervical which 87% positive. Approximately two thirds malignant mesothelioma 7-positive. positivity virtually all colorectal tumors. 20-positive staining also observed pancreatic (62%), gastric (50%), cholangiocarcinomas (43%), transitional (29%). expression absent other mesothelioma. 7- 20-negative included adrenal cortical germ tumor, prostate renal hepatocellular carcinoma.
