摘要: Advancements in radiological techniques the past two decades have facilitated accurate detection of abnormalities different organ systems body. Current imaging modalities can unequivocally document presence abnormalities, even when clinical manifestations are not apparent. Because overlapping features among disease entities, pathological tissue evaluation is mandatory to establish a definite diagnosis and initiate treatment. Tissue be obtained via fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) or core (CNB) under guidance with sonography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance (MRI), fluoroscopy. This chapter outlines handling processing sample by pathology department.
