摘要: Because of its high toxicity, TBT (trybutiltin) was banned since 2003, which resulted in a greater re-use Cu as based-biocide antifouling paints (AFP). The aim this work is to determine if metals form AFP are transferred benthic organisms from Guanabara Bay (GB) (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil). Metal concentrations were measured two main fouling algae species Ulva flexuosa and U. fasciata one isopod species, Sphaeroma serratum, GB marinas areas sites with artificial substrate covered by natural substrate. In addition, control samples collected an adjacent open ocean area. Concentrations Cd, Cr, Cu, Pb Zn determined Atomic Absortion Spectrophotometry. Higher detected both algal relation areas. Among GB, populations over surfaces presented significantly higher metal concentration than population rocky substrate. Our data showed that the leaching present on decks boats being taken up isopods. These results indicate coatings source heavy biota marina
