摘要: SummaryThe free-radical reactivity of the nitroimidazole derivatives metronidazole, misonidazole, benznidazole and ornidazole was investigated by observing their effect on polymerization acrylamide in aqueous solution. Free-radical initiated thermal decomposition potassium per-oxydisulphate at 50°C. Measurement rate showed an inhibitory nitroimidazoles which greatly enhanced when system irradiated with u.v. light near absorption maximum 320–325 nm. Analysis competitive kinetics enabled calculation constant for reaction ground state photoexcited polyacrylamide free radicals. No significant difference between various could be found dark reaction, but u.v.-irradiated order (misonidazole > metronidazole ≈ ornidazole) same as reported relative mutagenic, cytotoxic and...
