摘要: Carotenoids are important derivatives of the human diet and occur in high concentrations organism. Various carotenoids also present breast milk transferred to breast-fed children. The alternative breastfeeding is supplementation with an infant formula, but these formulas contain only a limited variety carotenoids. Our question is: ‘What function various nutrition special emphasis on child development atopy?’ In this review, mechanisms action most non-pro-vitamin A pro-vitamin carotenoids: α-carotene, β-carotene, β-cryptoxanthin, lutein, zeaxanthin, lycopene retinoids discussed. summary, combination carotenoids, especially lycopene, seems be great importance, exclusive usage β-carotene formula may yield increased atopy prevalence mediated target organs like skin, lungs immune competent cells. We conclude that determination novel bioactive metabolites at stages different during development, might key understanding potential importance development.
