摘要: Electrochemical Promotion of Catalysis (EPOC or NEMCA effect) is one the most exciting discoveries in Electrochemistry with great impact on many catalytic and electrocatalytic processes. According to words John O’M. Bockris, EPOC a triumph, latest series advances electrochemistry which have come about last 30 years. It has been shown more than 80 different systems that activity selectivity conductive catalysts deposited solid electrolytes can be altered very pronounced, reversible and, some extent, predictable manner by applying electrical currents potentials (typically up ±2 V) between catalyst second electronic conductor (counter electrode) also electrolyte. The induced steady-state change rate 135 × 103% higher normal (open-circuit) 3 105 ion supply. studies 7 years mainly focus following four areas: Catalytic reactions environmental (such as reduction NOx oxidation light hydrocarbons), mechanistic origin (using oxygen conductors), scale-up pf reactors for potential commercialization via development novel compact monolithic application high low temperature fuel cells introduction concept triode cell. recent these areas are discussed present review future trends aims research presented.
