摘要: Background: The measurement of transepidermal water loss (TEWL) is used to monitor changes in the stratum corneum's permeability vapor. This widely cosmetics industry and dermatology research. However, only limited work has been undertaken assess comparability results from different TEWL meters over an extended range measurements. Methods: study compared measurements between two commonly open-chamber closed-chamber devices. Five hundred forty were taken 17 participants on dorsum palm both hands days order devices was randomized. Results: showed that open meter's capacity for measuring high values restricted, meter less sensitive differences lower measurements. Conclusion: Both have their strengths applications, but cannot be directly compared. We unable find a statistical model would allow us transform made one device comparison with generated by other device.
