摘要: Background and Objectives The solvent/detergent treatment enables effective robust inactivation of all lipid-enveloped viruses, but also inactivates partly sensitive plasma proteins such as protein S. The aim this study was to investigate the thrombin generation capacity octaplasLG®, in particular focusing on function S assay impact settings. Materials Methods Sixteen octaplasLG® batches 32 units single donor fresh frozen (FFP) were investigated. For S, both functional activity free antigen levels measured. Thrombin performed using two fluorogenic tests with different triggers. Finally, rotational thromboelastometry performed. Results Mean lower a wider range values found for FFP. Clotting parameters capacities overlapped between groups demonstrated assays Spiking studies S-depleted plasma, human purified or antibodies against confirmed correlation under specific conditions, especially an low tissue factor concentration. Conclusion Correlation TGA. Due higher variability content FFP group, overlapping haemostatic potentials found.
