摘要: We have recently shown that albumin added to meconium before intratracheal instillation in newborn pigs limits detrimental effect on the lungs and reduces increase of IL-8. The aim this study was test as rescue treatment aspiration syndrome (MAS). MAS induced hypoxic piglets by lung (MAS I = 675 mg/kg, n 12; II 540 14). Morbidity mortality differed I, dead 7/12; II, 5/14). groups were randomized postmeconium either bovine (30%, 1.4 mL/kg; 6; 7) or isotonic saline (9 mg/mL, 7). controls (n 4) tested sequential 5 mL/kg) mL/kg). Lung function gas exchange deteriorated significantly after [oxygenation index (OI): +814%; +386%; ventilation (VI): +256%; +162%; compliance: −53%; −44%]. Increases tracheal IL-8 correlated deterioration 10- I) 5-fold II) (p < 0.001). compliance higher versus p 0.008; 0.002). Albumin did not influence intergroup differences IL-8, hemodynamics, OI, VI. MAS-induced increases with (OI, VI, compliance). Rescue improved may represent a new therapeutic approach MAS.
