摘要: Abstract The relevance of nonenzymatic glycosylation lens proteins to cataract formation was studied in rats on a normal and high galactose diet, treated with without sorbinil, an aldose reductase inhibitor. All galactosemic not receiving sorbinil had cataracts; none cataracts. Lens homogenate 200 fold molar excess [3H]-borohydride the extent estimated from radioactivity incorporation quantitation hexitol-lysine adduct after extensive dialysis.
