摘要: Abstract The influence of the Sulf BT process, which is an anodic sulphurization performed in a molten bath with temperature about 190 °C, on extreme pressure (EP) properties various lubricating oils was assessed by four-ball, Timken and Falex tests using both standard sulphurized testpieces. EP determined four-ball test improved for all oils, but were sometimes unchanged other testing methods; however, no deterioration found. Thus we consider that does improve performance lubricants tested. improvement found hydraulic oil remarkable: OK load typical premium attained. Provided practical experimentation confirms results, may allow use single purposes currently demanding different lubricants. Sulphurization could be used to substitution products which, extracted from endangered Cetacea, are as bases additives.
