摘要: Active carbon adsorbents were prepared from natural elutrilithe by chemical activation with K2CO3. The effect of pyrolysis temperature and time K2CO3/elutrilithe ratio on the surface area, porosity, ash content was studied. Various prior post treatments have been tried to improve quality adsorbents. An ideal active adsorbent a BET area 1236 m2/g total pore volume 0.679 cm3/g has obtained. is hydrophobic in nature exhibits large adsorption capacities for various phenolic compounds aqueous solutions.
