Effect of uniaxial stress on the transport properties of TaSe3.

摘要: We have measured the effect of elastic, uniaxial stress on resistance R, thermoelectric power (TEP), and superconducting transition temperature ${T}_{c}$ ${\mathrm{TaSe}}_{3}$. find that there is a nearly discontinuous change in R TEP at \ensuremath{\sigma} about 1.2 GPa 20 K. In this increases by several orders magnitude, while changes sign magnitude. At higher temperatures becomes less pronounced occurs over larger range \ensuremath{\sigma}. suggest due to Fermi-surface topology change, structural phase transition, or charge-density-wave transition. found no evidence for metal-to-nonmetal just above normal-superconducting ${T}_{c}$.
