摘要: Abstract Hybrid rice ( Oryza sativa L.) has been proven to be effective in increasing yield potential, but lodging often limits its high-yielding environments. This study was conducted determine genotypic variation resistance and lodging-related morphological traits among hybrid non-hybrid check varieties, identify the key associated with resistance. Lodging behavior of 16 genotypes, including 12 hybrids four inbreds, studied at International Rice Research Institute farm during 2004 wet season (WS) 2005 dry (DS). Grain visual score were determined maturity. Lodging-related measured 30 days after flowering. Large differences observed. Among these traits, weight per unit length, breaking resistance, index (bending moment/breaking resistance × 100) lower internodes significantly correlated lodging. Several demonstrated high although their average plant height over 120 cm. The comparable those varieties strong These results suggest that increases length are primary targets for reducing index, thus improving overall a breeding program.
