摘要: Abstract 1. Two glucans were isolated from the hyphal wall of Schizophyllum commune and analyzed by complete partial acid hydrolysis, enzymatic periodate oxidation, optical rotation, X-ray diffraction electron microscopy. 2. A mucilage, present at outer surface also in culture medium, consists chain 1,3-linked β- d - glucosyl units with branches single attached 1,6 linkages on every fourth unit, average, along chain. It has a typical hydroglucan pattern after boiling dilute an [α] 25 approx. + 32°. 3. An alkali-soluble glucan, S-glucan, located beneath mucilage accounting for about 45% thickness water-insoluble portion wall, chains α- units. Without treatments it produces characteristic diagram. is highly dextrorotary +242°. 4. The S-glucan microcrystalline form both chemically have rodlet structure.
