摘要: Human activity is sometimes seen as the reason for nocturnal of wolves (Canis lupus). We tested this assumption in Bieszczady Mountains (southeastern Poland), a region with human density 44 inhabitants km -2 , and where were hunted until recently. The radio tracked three packs moved throughout day one major peak around dawn. Wolves avoided area main public roads more at night (up to distance 1.5 km) than 0.5 km). 0.5-km secondary paved forest both but did not avoid surroundings settlements. As compared other studies, study least although was highest. conclude that unlikely be wolves.
