摘要: Home range, habitat use, activity and movement patterns were studied in a pack of wolves mountainous region Abruzzo, central Italy from June 1986 to March 1987. The home estimated by the minimum convex polygon 421 radio locations, measured 197 km2 comprised several infrastructures areas human presence, including four garbage dumps two offal sites. Core areas, calculated harmonic mean method, located toward centre range where disturbance road density lowest but forest cover was highest. During time-span study, home-range use suggested marked centrality spatial behaviour traditionality retreat year-round, both during pup-rearing season following months. In addition, being essentially nocturnal, resident appeared adopt tactics temporal segregation people exploit food resources safely proximity settlements. Overall correlated with distance travelled (r = 0.90, P << 0.001), corresponded cyclic nocturnal movements feeding areas. Wolf rate between 20:00 04:00 h averaged 2.5 km/h varied up about 8 km/h, daily (x= 27 km/night; 17–38 km/night) mostly depended on location traditional Home-range configuration, all highly integrated so as represent most functional compromise avoidance inteference exploitation available resources.
