摘要: A coarse scale analysis was carried out of factors affecting rendezvous site selection and fidelity to pup raising areas in wolfCanis lupus Linnaeus, 1758 packs inhabiting the north eastern Apennines, Italy. From 1993 2004, 44 sites were identified, compared with random for variables related topography, habitat, human presence. Rendezvous significantly more frequent inside protected at a greater distance from paved roads villages than sites. Moreover, they located on steeper slope higher absolute elevation sites, whereas we did not observe particular aspect. Deciduous forests selected, open used. Canopy cover above 70% positively selected. Distance border roads, presence deciduous forest proved main distribution. In four cases observed reuse same two consecutive years. Some tended locate their small portions territory, thus implying that some are suitable raising.
