摘要: Summary The concept of polymicrobial disease is well accepted in human and veterinary medicine but has received very little attention the field aquaculture. This study was conducted to investigate synergistic effect white spot syndrome virus (WSSV) Vibrio campbellii on development specific pathogen-free (SPF) shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei. juvenile were first injected with WSSV at a dose 30 SID50 -1 (SID50 = infectious 50% endpoint) 24 h later 10 6 colony-forming units (cfu) V. . Controls receiving just one patho- gens or negative inocula included. In treatment only, started die 48-108 post injection (hpi) cumulative mortality reached 100% 268-336 hpi. only (10 cfu ), cumu- lative 16.7%. Shrimp dual died quickly after injec- tion obtained 72-96 When WSSV-injected given sonicated instead live campbellii, no observed. Density haemolymph co-infected mori- bund collected significantly higher than (P < 0.01). However, there difference replication between inoculated compared dually ones. revealed that prior infec- enhances multiplication inducing capacity shrimp.
