Angloplasty revision: importance of genioplasty for narrowing of the lower face.

摘要: BACKGROUND Angloplasty is the most common procedure in facial contouring surgery among Asians. However, to achieve satisfactory results during procedures aimed at altering lower contour, shape of mandible and chin area particular an important consideration. In cases reoperation for further improvement after angloplasty, surgeons should consider performing a genioplasty improve chin. METHODS From March 2010 August 2012, 52 women who were dissatisfied with angloplasty wanted slimmer face underwent revision angloplasty. The included narrowing border from parasymphysis previously resected area. RESULTS All patients satisfied their appearance, which had become slender when viewed front. There no notable complications. No patient experienced permanent sensory numbness lip. Two complained submental bulges treated postoperatively using laser-assisted liposuction. CONCLUSION When restore contour mandible, surgeon as whole create face, achievable by simultaneous mandible. CLINICAL QUESTION/LEVEL OF EVIDENCE Therapeutic, IV.
