摘要: This article reviews the incidence of group A rotavirus (RV) types isolated from children with acute gastroenteritis (AGE) in European countries during last 5-10 years, aim establishing an overview RV diversity before introduction universal mass vaccination (UMV) programmes against disease most countries. Consistent findings previous surveys, a high degree co-circulating exists different locations Europe, and over seasons. Whilst UMV can potentially change genotypes, there are at present insufficient data for Europe to come firm conclusions. Even outside several years surveillance following (Brazil, Australia, USA), it is not clear whether changes observed particular due natural fluctuations or immunological pressure exerted by UMVs. Consequently, will be very difficult that have UMVs conclude AGE driven immune pressures simply reflect temporal spatial fluctuations. monitoring strains should continued, acknowledged licensed monovalent pentavalent vaccines similarly effective developed levels type-specific neutralising antibodies after only partially correlated protection achieved; therefore, significance may less important than often assumed.
