摘要: Abstract Background During mandibular reconstruction in paediatric patients special consideration must be given to the issues related growth when restoration of and maxillary relationship is essential for correct development facial skeleton, a dynamic process whereby are strongly correlated. Wide resections, irradiated fields, infection at recipient site, scars strong indications using revascularized bone-containing free flaps. Methods Five were reviewed, with follow-up ranging from 5 11 years. Measurements performed on frontal lateral views assess angle symmetry, midline deviation angle. also made orthopantomograms differences between normal reconstructed sides. Results Optimal functional aesthetic results obtained. Conclusions The data suggest that mandible undergoes growth, even if this unpredictable, it can sufficient allow appropriate face.
