摘要: Osteoarthritis is thought to be the most prevalent chronic and disabling joint disease in animals humans its treatment a major orthopaedic challenge because there no ideal drug preserve structure function, as well ameliorate symptomatology of disease. The aim present study was assess, using histology, histomorphometry micro-CT, effects with several drugs SYSADOA group bisphosphonate model early osteoarthritis, comparing all results obtained. surgically induced by anterior cruciate ligament transection partial meniscectomy on one knee 56 rabbits; started three weeks after surgery lasted 8 weeks; at end this period, were sacrificed. Animals divided into seven groups (8 each), for each regimen (glucosamine sulfate, chondroitin hyaluronic acid, diacerein, risedronate combination glucosamine) control (placebo-treated) group. Following sacrifice, femoral osteochondral cylinders synovial membrane samples obtained their evaluation qualitative quantitative histology micro-CT. osteoarthritic changes joints none treatments showed significantly better efficacy over others. Regarding cartilage thickness volume, achieved scores halfway between groups, without statistical differences. membrane, diacerein best anti-inflammatory profile, whereas glucosamine did not any effect standing acid subchondral bone, differences or but risedronate, seemed have considerably modified orientation trabecular lattice. Out different evaluated OA treatment, showed, parameters measured, profile effectiveness; ameliorated swelling promoted bone formation, poor effect; finally, sulfate prevented similar way others, had surface, bone.
