摘要: Infection with Helicobacter spp. is increasingly linked hepatobiliary inflammation and neoplasia in people a variety of animals. We sought to determine if species infection associated cholangiohepatitis cats. Deoxyribonucleic acid was extracted from tissue blocks cats (32), noninflammatory liver disease (13), normal histology (4). polymerase chain reaction-amplified 2 sets genus-specific primers, gel purified, sequenced. Polymerase reaction-positive hepatic further examined Steiner's stain, immunocytochemistry for species, eubacterial fluorescent situ hybridization. Gastric tissues known status served as controls deoxyribonucleic extraction sequence comparison. were detected 2/32 cholangiohepatitis, 1/17 controls. Sequences had 100% identity liver, pylori, fenelliae/cinaedii cat suppurative cholangitis, nemistrineae mild lymphocytic portal hepatitis, bilis portosystemic vascular anomaly. In contrast, sequences gastric biopsies showed highest homology (99-100%) "Helicobacter heilmannii," bizzozeronii, felis, salomonis. Fluorescent hybridization revealed semicurved bacterium, Helicobacter-like morphology, an intrahepatic bile duct the cholangitis. This study has identified 1/13 disease. distinct those found stomach are broadly consistent intestine bile, rodents.
