摘要: Microsatellite (short tandem repeat) markers are useful tools for genetic linkage analysis because of their high frequency occurrence in eukaryotic genomes, ease typing, and polymorphism content. To establish a panel microsatellite genome-wide screens the Chinese population, we determined heterozygosities allelic frequencies widely used set 285 208 individuals Han descent. Although median heterozygosity level our population was 0.72, only 63.6% these have at least 0.7, compared with 90.8% original Caucasian sample. The significant difference between populations suggests that should be optimally selected each study to maximize information content power.
