摘要: Natura 2000 (N2000) is a network of European sites focused on the conservation specific species and habitats. Despite known importance common biodiversity in ecosystem functioning, are currently not explicitly targeted by initiatives France. In this study, we investigated whether N2000 contributes to protection breeding bird species. particular, abundance specialization, community specialization trophic levels. We also determined effects temporal trends specialist generalist groups. studied 100 1461 plots monitored French Breeding Bird Survey (BBS) between 2001 2010. found that increased for 54 with proportion plot covered areas plot. The abundances were most influenced predominantly habitat specialists. communities inside more specialized exhibited higher indices than outside sites. no differences farmland woodland birds sites, but trend was positive stable inside. concluded showed greater majority established too recently assess its influence population trends. BBS has proved be an efficient tool assessing protected area networks.
