摘要: Abstract Regulation of cellular responses by inhibitory receptors is crucial for proper function the immune system. The prototype are major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I binding killer-Ig like (KIRs) present on effector cells such as natural killer (NK) and T cells. However, recent identification non-MHC ligands receptors, KLRG1, KLRB1 LAIR-1, indicates that also MHC I-independent play roles in inducing peripheral tolerance. presence these many other cell types besides suggests tight regulation activation necessary all facets response both normal diseased tissue. Here, we review novel insights implications ligand to receptors. We give an overview known ligand–receptor pairs grouping according their properties discuss interactions maintenance balance defense against tumors pathogens.
