摘要: The multiple cell types that comprise the immune system provide an efficient defense against invading pathogens and micro-organisms. In general, cells are activated for disparate functions, such as proliferation, production release of mediators chemotaxis, a result interactions between ligands their matching immunoreceptors. This in turn leads to recruitment activation cascade second messengers, via regulators/adaptors, determine net effect initial response. However, must be tightly regulated by finely tuned interplay inhibition avoid excessive or inappropriate responsiveness maintain homeostasis. Loss inhibitory signals may disrupt this balance, leading various pathological processes allergic auto-immune diseases. chapter, we will discuss down-regulating mechanisms mast focusing on immunoreceptor tyrosine-based motifs (ITIM)-containing receptors (IR).
