摘要: Objectives Collagen production plays a role in the development of tumors from cancer cells. The aim present study is to examine involvement epigenetic alteration α2 (I) (COL1A2) gene expression cases head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). Methods COL1A2 was examined panel lines using RT-PCR. methylation status promoter studied bisulfate sequencing methylation-specific PCR (MSP). Results absent 6 11 (54.5%) UM-SCC lines, whereas three nonmalignant had stable expressions. MSP analysis showed that 46/98 (46.9%) contained methylated alleles. significantly correlated with tumor size (P = 0.041), lymph node 0.008), stage 0.011), H-cadherin 0.039) disease-free survival 0.005). On multivariate Cox proportional hazard regression, which included age, sex, smoking status, alcohol exposure, both remained independent prognostic factors. Conclusions This suggests CpG hypermethylation likely mechanism inactivation, supporting hypothesis may play tumorigenesis HNSCC serve as an important biomarker.
