摘要: Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is the most common psychiatric of childhood and often persists into adulthood. ADHD a neurophysiologic defined in behavioral terms associated with significant morbidity realms social academic success, self-esteem. comorbid disorders learning disabilities, which further impede successful development these persons. It essential that family physicians be knowledgeable about presentation diagnosis ADHD. Stimulant medications continue to mainstay treatment, although many other (such as antidepressants alpha blockers) are helpful adjuvants therapy. Current recommendations for treatment include an individualized, multimodal approach involving parents, teachers, counselors school system. Treatment follow-up includes monitoring response various settings, well side effects. With time interest, physician can develop skills needed treat this disorder.
