摘要: Endothelial cell function is essential to maintain corneal transparency, but unfortunately the regenerative capacity of endothelium limited. There are only a few reports describing effect age on morphologic appearance endothelial cells dogs. Studies normal in humans and dogs have shown decrease density (ECD) an increase pleomorphism polymegethism with advancing age. The purpose this study was investigate ECD morphology A total 30 were divided into three groups (10 dogs/group) based age: group 1 (2-12 months old), 2 (24-72 3 (84 or older). Corneas processed for light scanning electron microscopy. Results showed difference between 3, showing initial as animal matured. Whereas there significantly greater variation size within than other two groups, suggesting that increased
