摘要: This in vitro study compared the effect of different levels moisture root canals, from none to wet, on coronal seal after filling with resin-coated gutta-percha cones/EndoRez [RGPC/ER (groups 1–4)], Resilon/Epiphany [RE/EP 5–8)], and gutta-percha/Grossman‘s cement [GP/G 9–12)]. The length 76 single-rooted extracted human teeth was standardized ∼17 mm. After instrumentation size 10 K-Files, #2 #3 Gates Glidden burs, preparation working K-Type files, smear layer removed 17% ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid followed by flooding distilled water. On basis similarities canal shape determined x-rays, roots were assigned groups (n = 5 per group) treated according one following protocols. (I) ETOH: excess water paper points dehydration 95% ethanol; (II) PAPER POINTS: canals blot-dried last appearing dry; (III) MOIST: dried low vacuum using a luer adapter for seconds 1 point second; (IV) WET: remained totally flooded. then filled obturation systems outlined above. coated 2 layers nail varnish sticky wax, except access. In addition, positive negative controls added. immersion 2% methylene blue dye 7 days, samples embedded clear orthodontic resin cross-sectioned at 0.5-mm intervals along roots. Dye penetration evaluated an independent investigator stereomicroscope 40× magnification. results indicated that leakage affected degree moisture. All materials showed some evidence penetration, however, gutta-percha/EndoRez demonstrated significantly less (P < .05) when moist conditions II III present.
