摘要: Micro ribonucleic acids (miRNAs) represent a class of small noncoding RNAs that play important roles in multiple biological processes by degrading targeted mRNAs or repressing mRNA translation. In the case algal lineages, especially dinoflagellates, knowledge regarding miRNA system is still limited and its regulatory role remains unclear. present study, computational approach was employed to screen miRNAs from expressed sequence tags (ESTs) Alexandrium tamarense. A total 18 potential were identified according range filtering criteria. addition, unique evolutionary features, such as gene duplication similarity metazoan miRNAs, implied dinoflagellates complex. Moreover, based on these sequences, 42 target genes showing diverse functions regulating growth development predicted Thalassiosira pseudonana Phaeodactylum tricornutum. Taken together, our data suggest existence provide clues for further functional studies miRNAs.
