摘要: In the event of an unplanned release a chemical warfare agent during any stage Chemical Stockpile Disposal Program, potential exists for off-post contamination drinking water, forage crops, grains, garden produce, and livestock. The more persistent agents, such as organophosphate nerve VX, pose greatest human health concern reentry. A relative potency approach comparing toxicity VX to insecticide analogues is developed used estimate allowable residues in agricultural products reentry intervals public access contaminated areas. Analysis mammalian LD50 data by all exposure routes indicates that 10(3) 10(4) times toxic than most commercially available insecticides. Thus, could be considered at concentration levels lower those established certain insecticides U.S. EPA. Evaluation these indicate that, if environmental monitoring cannot reliably demonstrate acceptable restricted suspect or areas may on order weeks months following release. Planning relocation, mass care centers, quarantine should take this time period into account.
