Impact of media literacy education on knowledge and behavioral intention of adolescents in dealing with media messages according to Stages of Change.

摘要: Introduction: Mass media influence the health behaviors of adolescents. Evidence shows that traditional strategies such as censorship or limitation are no longer efficient; therefore, teaching literacy is best way to protect adolescents from harmful effects. The aim this pilot study was evaluate effects a training program on knowledge and behavioral intention sample female students according stages change in dealing with messages. Methods: conducted based pre-test post-test control group design. Some 198 including 101 intervention 97 participated study. educational run using interactive teaching-learning techniques. Data collection performed validated reliable self-administered questionnaire three phases pre-test, post-test, 1 2. research data analyzed through SPSS statistical software, version 14 both descriptive inferential statistics. Results: results showed significant increase (p=0.001) group’s mean scores after program. On other hand, difference not (p=0.200). A considerable percentage participants, groups, were pre contemplation (64 61, respectively).
