摘要: Objectives: To compare the toxicity and outcomes of three radiotherapy techniques—three-dimensional conformal (3D-RT), accelerated fractionation with concomitant boost (AFxCB), intensity modulated (IMRT)—in combined modality treatment stage III–IV squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) oropharynx. Study Design: Retrospective review. Methods: Between 1998 2007, a total 87 patients were treated; 23 treated 3D-RT, 32 AFxCB, IMRT. Systemic therapy consisted platinum-based chemotherapy in 81 anti-epidermal growth factor receptor (anti-EGFR)-targeted 6 cases. Median doses 70Gy 72Gy 69.3Gy Locoregional control, survival outcomes, feeding tube (PEG) dependence compared using log-rank method. The incidence acute mucositis skin reaction, grade ≥2 xerostomia at 6, 12, 18 months after was Fisher's exact test. Results: follow-up 24 (range 3 to 103 months) for living patients. Two-year overall (OS), disease-free (DFS), locoregional control (LRC) 77.3%, 69.5%, 86.4%, respectively. There trend toward improvement LRC Acute ≥3 mucosal significantly lower IMRT AFxCB (P < .001). Grade reduced 3D-RT no difference actuarial rate PEG = .96). Conclusions: Compared confers an appears have similar efficacy SCC oropharynx.
