Application of particle swarm optimizer on load distribution for hybrid network selection scheme in heterogeneous wireless networks

摘要: Mobile terminal with multiradios is getting common nowadays the presence of heterogeneous wireless networks such as 3G, WiMAX, and WiFi. That Network selection mechanism plays an important role in ensuring mobile terminals are always connected to most suitable network. In this paper, we introduce evaluate performance load distribution model facilitate better network selection. We focus on optimization resource utilization using particle swarmoptimizer (PSO) objective distribute system according various conditions order achieve minimum cost. Simulation results showed that proposed approach outperformed conventional iterative algorithm by a cost improvement 7.24% for size 1000 10 particles.
