摘要: Sequential sera from 45 patients with multiple myeloma (MM) and 6 solid tumors but normal bone marrows who received cyclophosphamide, 15 mg/kg/day for 4 days, were assayed their effects on tritiated thymidine (3H-TdR) incorporation by marrow cells malignant plasma cells. Pretreatment 23 of the MM inhibited cell proliferation relative to sera. Of these sera, 30 proliferation. This humoral inhibition was overcome induction stimulation at a predictable time during chemotherapy. The obtained sequentially increased 3H-TdR uptake both types days 12–15 therapy. changes in labeling indices paralleled serum activity, an tumor growth fraction occurring peak stimulatory activity. relationship between confirmed vitro.
