摘要: Background. Management of pharyngoesophageal stenosis (PES) in patients after head and neck cancer (HNC) treatment remains a challenge. It is not uncommon that PES refractory to dilation sessions. This study aimed at evaluating the efficacy Mitomycin C (MMC) endoscopic injection for stenosis. Patients methods. prospective with dysphagia following treatment, without evidence suggestive tumor recurrence, treatment. These were submitted stenotic segment thermoplastic bougies, followed by MMC. We repeated sessions every three weeks. Results. From January 2015 May 2015, we treated 13 PES. Three initially enrolled stricture. observed adverse events all them, intense pain ulcer development, justifying interruption trial. Conclusion. The short interval MMC recommended, because it resulted serious events.
