Bone mineral density and bone turnover in patients with psoriatic arthritis.

摘要: Psoriasis is a common inflammatory skin disease, and conflicting data have been published about osteoporosis bone turnover markers in patients with psoriatic arthritis. The aim of this study was to assess mineral density (BMD) without peripheral arthritis investigate the relationship between clinical parameters turnover. Forty-seven (24 women, 23 men) psoriasis were included study. Demographic characteristics recorded. Erythrocyte sedimentation rate C-reactive protein assessed as disease activity parameters. BMD determined for lumbar spine total hip by dual X-ray absorptiometry (DXA). Serum Ca, P, alkalen phosphatase (ALP), serum type I collagen cross-linked C telopeptide (CTX) measured all patients. divided into two groups according their status. laboratory variables, well mass status groups, compared each other. Eighteen had All female premenopausal. None radiologically axial involvement. There no significant difference levels arthropathy. One patient (5%) osteoporosis, nine (50%) osteopenia arthritic group, while eight (27.5%) CTX, ALP, P not significantly different than non-arthritic (p > 0.05). In arthritis, duration negatively correlated values femur CTX levels, suggesting an association increased demineralization joint disease. conclusion, longer may be at risk which can require preventative treatment efforts.
