摘要: Movements, home-range size and habitat use of the European wolf (Canis lupus) are described in Slovak Carpathians. The study was carried out 1994-2002 two national parks central Slovakia. In Tatry National Park we monitored for 11 months an adult male associated with a pack 7. Nizke radio-tracked female 82 (1995-2002). Over course ranged from 2 to 7 members. this park most intensive telemetry conducted 1996 to1997 when radio-tagged reared her offspring. Home - ranges radio-collared wolves calculated whole period radio tracking (MCP 100 % observations) were 146 km (male) 191 (female), respectively. Extraterritorial forays not observed. Core areas home estimated by Kernel method (50 locations), small (21 : male; 28 female) overlapped mainly forest habitats heavily used red deer (Cervus elaphus). territory summer 24 49 smaller than winter.
