摘要: Ovarian cancer is associated with a high morbidity and mortality, the leading cause of gynecologic cancer-related death in US. In recent years, molecular pathophysiology ovarian tumors has been better elucidated, allowing for distinction two tumor types: more indolent type I (encompassing endometrioid, clear cell, low-grade serous, mucinous carcinomas) highly aggressive II high-grade serous carcinomas malignant mixed mullerian tumors). Type are related to abnormalities MAPK signaling pathway (KRAS BRAF mutations), PI3K/Akt2/PTEN pathway, Wnt/beta-catenin as well mutations other genes such ARID1a, PPP2R1A, HNF1-beta. tumors, contrast, characterized by p53, inactivation BRCA1/2 Notch3, Rsf-1, NAC1. this chapter, we discuss characteristics frequency these abnormalities, an emphasis on their implications diagnosis treatment.
