摘要: Abstract Ethnopharmacological relevance The genus Hyptis comprehends almost 400 species widespread in tropical and temperate regions of America. use spicigera Lam. (Lamiaceae) is reported traditional medicine due to its gastroprotective, anti-inflammatory analgesic properties. Aim the study rationale this was investigate potential essential oil H. (EOHs) as analgesic. Material methods antinociceptive effect EOHs verified analyzing acute nocifensive behavior mice induced by chemical noxious stimuli [i.e., formalin transient receptor (TRP) channels agonists]. We also effects on locomotor activity motor performance mice. Finally, we involvement central afferent C-fibers with effect. Results presented at 300 1000 mg/kg formalin-induced pain model, presenting 50% 72% inhibition during first phase (ED 50 =292 mg/kg), 85% 100% de second =205 mg/kg), respectively. Temperature hind paw reduced treatment a dose-dependent manner; oedema diminished only 1000 mg/kg. does not impaired or performance. For injected capsaicin, TRPV1 activator, (1000 mg/kg, ED =660 mg/kg) showed decreased (63%) nociceptive behavior. When cinnamaldehyde (TRPA1 activator), treated 23%, 43% 66% (100, 1000 mg/kg, respectively; 402 mg/kg). were menthol (TRPM8 29%, 59% 98% =198 mg/kg. when desensitized menthol, (300 mg/kg) does show Conclusions This demonstrated efficacy experimental models nociception. have found TRP V1, A1 M8 activity, which remarkably potent efficient inhibiting evoked TRPM8 channel activator. from TRPV1+ C-fibers, but TRPM8+ nor Aδ mechanosensory fibers, mediate effects.
