摘要: The efficient separation of pig slurry into its solid and liquid components is useful on a farm where the removal excess nutrients desired. This study investigates effectiveness two pre-treatments (chitosan, biochar) in separating using methods mechanical (screw press SP centrifugation CENT). Several indicators—high dry matter phosphorus solids, low P, Cu, Zn content liquids—informed evaluation. Overall, results showed that chitosan addition changed elemental both fractions group, but not CENT group. Chitosan produced loosened flocs sensitive to pressure, more resistant centrifugation. Added biochar increased mass efficiency by 2–3% methods, had little effect chemicals tested, except for solids combination performed worse than when treated with alone. Based simple reduced indices, no treatments affected separators. Despite pre-treatment failures, there some indication under different experimental conditions, these may be beneficial manure.
