摘要: Abstract Sustainability includes three elements: social, economic, and environmental factors. The latter two dominate any project planning, whereas the former is often overlooked. Social sustainability deals with social factors that are essential for achieving long-term, sustainable wellbeing. For a new to be socially sustainable, maximum positive minimum negative impacts essential. impact assessment (SIA) provides holistic view of all might occur in project. Bangladesh, least developed country has its long-term power generation plan up 2041 which construction plants different types such as coal, gas, oil-fired. Thus, it would challenge maintain sector's sustainability, if appropriate assessments not conducted properly including SIA. In this article, present status SIA sector Bangladesh analyzed. results revealed SIAs were limited scale standard, thus mostly helpful sustainability. Lack separate rules regulations inappropriate methodological approaches used conduct main reasons.
